Idaho

We got back home yesterday after spending four days in Spirit Lake. My cousin and her family have had a cabin on the lake since the early 1960's. Our group of eight for most of the time and then on the last day twelve came from Cincinnati, Portland, Spokane, Vezzi St. Raphael, Italy and Atchison of course. It is a beautiful area and they have kept it as a rustic spot in the woods. There was a little cabin there originally and then N. and one of his sons built a bigger cabin - both have only cold water piped in for bathrooms and kitchen, but no showers so you take your "bath" in the lake. Three in the group took a morning plunge every day but I always waited until the sun had warmed up the water a bit. We had a great time - we did the "traditional for years" one mile loop walk every morning after breakfast, P played golf two days with B, I read a bunch of old diaries and we talked a lot, laughed a lot and had great meals.

Loved the pictures! The town looks to be from a former century - very rustic. I'm glad you had such a nice time - aren't those short trips just wonderful?

Sounds like you all had a nice time. Idaho hasn't been high on my "must see" list, but you're discription made it sound fabulous...it's obviously time to revise my list.
