Out of the Blue

A couple of men rang the doorbell this afternoon and since I was "reading" Pat answered the door. The men were interested in a farm machine on our neighbor's property and when they saw our windmill lying in the yard, they were also interested in that. Hallelujah! Originally, Pat & I were going to restore the old windmill but as time went by that became a much less interesting project especially since we couldn't find anyone to restore it. Pat asked me how much I wanted for it and I said I would pay the men to take it away but Pat being of a more sensible nature in this case ended up getting $150 for it. The men want to use it to pump water into their pond - I'm glad that it will be functional again even though not on our property. I had "do something with the windmill" on my to do list for soooo long - I got to mark through that today.

Leah:

This is a good story - and now, we don't have to talk about the windmill anymore. After it is reconstructed, maybe, during a visit, we can go to see it in its new incarnation. Just think, now you are $152.50! It just grows and grows.

What a great story! It gives me hope that in the not too distant future someone will randomly knock on my door wanting to organize my office and remodel my home...:-)
