Good Book +

I just finished reading "In Search of Stupidity" by Rick Chapman. It was an interesting, fun, enlightening book to read about the computer industry and its development. It brought back memories of using and discussing the merits of dBase, WordStar vs WordPerfect, Harvard Graphics and many others now unknown. It is amazing the errors in thinking that occurred in the business that caused so many to fall by the wayside.

Bird note - a couple of weeks ago we saw a flock - maybe 15 or 20 - pelicans flying over. That was a first - I had never seen pelicans flying. Yesterday, we saw about 12 sapsuckers in the front yard - they are not too hard to find but usually are seen one at a time.

Leah:

I hope there will be wonderful bird displays during my visit! Don't pelicans usually stay pretty close to water?

Daughter:

Maybe you could bring it (or Daddy) when you guys visit in October? I'd love to read it in my copious spare time .
