We made a quick trip last weekend to Iowa City to have supper with a childhood friend of Pat's from his days at the Academy of Mary Immaculate. Sandra signed Pat's copy of her book - Pat is protrayed in the book as Denny - and they did some reminiscing about their junior high school days and catching up on what they have done in the past 40 years. It was an interesting evening.

is this the same Sandra whose last name was Hupp? And if so, maybe I should read the book. I blame Patrick for her shabby treatment of me when I was in her 9th grade class at AMI.

So I have to ask even though I am sure to read the book...Was Denny one of the occasions?

I have Occasions of Sin. It was well-written and an interesting read - especially the Denny portions. Theresa, you may read my copy. The only catch is that you have to pick it up personally! Return via Media Mail will be acceptable.

Should have mentioned the title - "Occasions of Sin".

I've heard of this book through the family grapevine, but I don't remember the name of it. Since most of her books were written with Texas being the backdrop, reading the titles she has written didn't really help me figure out which book has Denny's character. If I knew the title of the book, I would really be interested in reading about Denny. ;)
