High Cost Restaurant & Busy Travel Week

Kitty Lou said she would like to take us out to eat this evening, so I selected a restaurant I had wanted to check out for about a year. It's in a renovated barn and is all you can eat. I told KL on Thursday what the menu is and that it is $10.75 per person. KL nodded and said okay. Yesterday she asked again about the menu and the cost. I repeated and said a little louder $10.75 per person. She said "Ohhhh - I thought you said $75 per person - I thought I would need to borrow some money from Patrick!"

Tomorrow I leave for St. Louis, on Wednesday I go to Orlando, then on Saturday to Austin to see Jonathan, Kayleigh, Eliz & Dale. On Tuesday, I go to Dallas and then home. The only bright spot in the trip, and it is a huge bright spot, is being in Austin. Semi-retirement this is not.

Elizabeth:

That looks like a neat place to go; I'll be interested to hear the report of how it is. (I bet Grama did fret all day and night about that too!) Guess I'll have to wait to get the review in person, though, if you'll be travelling. Poor Mom! I'm glad we are providing a bright spot though. Kayleigh is *so* close to walking, and now she can make a doggie noise when she sees one. If I do say so myself, it's extremely cute.

Rita:

Mother is funny. She probably fretted over what she thought would be the cost of treating you guys to dinner. Bon Apetite!
