A Word to the Wise...

Ever since Jeanne started heading for Florida there was a lot of email activity about whether the planned golf weekend for Tim's birthday would happen in Florida. Sure enough, Jeanne blew right over the golf resort three days before the six golfers were to fly to Florida - so don't book anything in Florida during hurricane season.

I got to be an observer reader of all the emails going back and forth (thank god for email!) about what to do - first to just find out if the Florida resort was hit, although once they couldn't reach the resort by phone or cell phone, it was pretty obvious. Monday/Tuesday there was talk of Arizona but by Wednesday they decided on Las Vegas and added another member to their golf group. So they all changed their flight reservations and flew to LV on Thursday - the guy that gets the flexibility trophy is the one that flew from London.

And the winner of the best email sound bite is Ray - in response to a heavily worded email from the lawyer in the group, Ray replied - "If that doesn't sound like lawyer talk, dip me in shit and call me honey". I think I may have to print out the emails as a book - it will be something funny to read when we're in our rockin' chairs on the porch.

Patrick:

That would be Tim G. His reply, in response to a query about him cleaning his clubs in preparation for the big trip, was:

I want to clarify, for the record, that you have overstated the extent of my likely preparation. I only clean my clubs when they are so muddy that they make the bag too heavy to handle. Dusting is out of the question.

Kathleen:

...and the lawyer would be ______.And just what did this lawyer say that elicited such a response from Ray?

blue-eyed blonde:

That's hilarious. Have to remember that one and use it sometime.

R ita:

I think I would love to read them now...I got a chuckle from Ray's contribution.
