Austin

Arrived in Austin Friday evening. Elizabeth is huge, but looks wonderful. I had a great time with Jonathan on Saturday while E&D were out shopping for most of the day. We played almost every game he had - he's quite good and fair about games. He disagreed with one of my moves and said "Well, let's read the directions", which he proceeded to do. When he finished he said, "Yes, you're right - that's okay to do." He's also quite a conversationalist.

Eliz has set me up with my own screen on her computer so I can "do my own thing" with e-mail etc. I could get used to this! Having Roadrunner is really a pleasure.

Now everything is all ready - it's time for ??? Churchett to put in an appearance.

Elizabeth:

Carol--thank you for your support!

And Rita, may I suggest that you make sure to note this entire exchange carefully so that you do not make any faux pas of your own on your blog as Jen gets closer to her delivery. Carol's phrases were perfect and I highly recommend their use .

Cynthia:

Okay, okay - What was I thinking?!?!

Carol:

Huge??? As one who has been there, I'm sure Elizabeth is radiant, great with child, rounded out, well endowed with richness, soon to be rewarded with a much anticipated joy, abundant with expectancy. But not huge.
Good luck, hope everything goes as smoothly as possible.

Kathleen:

"Let's read the direction." --- That's mine! Ask Jonathan who says that when they played a game with him a long time ago. Now, every time we play a game together, he always refers to the directions....I love it.

Elizabeth:

Well . . . I think I would have preferred a little more specificity on the "huge" issue . . . something like "Elizabeth's tummy is huge" . I've done so well--gained only 28 pounds with this one so far! That's well within the guidelines I was given at my first prenatal appointment.

And I agree--I'm ready to meet our baby.
