The annual trek for P to the "ranch" outside Bandera started yesterday; he has enough gear to homestead in the area. Currently he's visiting his mother in WF, then to Austin to visit E,D & J and then on to start spotting the quail at the ranch. He'll go to Houston to visit before heading home. Have fun!!!

Still in WF. Mother seems to be doing fine, but her diastolic BP (the lower number) tends to be a little low. She has an appointment Monday with the doctor that treated her in the emergency room. Matthew has been measuring her BP, both sitting and standing, a couple of times a day, and that data will be given to the doctor. Hopefully, he will be able to adjust her meds.
Played golf today. Shot 104, including exactly zero mulligans, at Weeks Park. Played with John Gilleland and John Pastusek. Didn't see any quail, but lots of pigeons, gulls, and ducks. The weather was pretty miserable - around 45 deg, misting to raining, 20-35 mph winds.
If I had planned on homesteading, I would have packed up the trailer.
