Bobcat Sighting

Yesterday we got a great look with binoculars at a bobcat rummaging around about a hundred yards from the deck. The ear markings and stubby tail were easy to see. We had heard rumors of bobcats being around but had never seen one. Unfortunately, the camera wasn't handy, so we didn't get a picture.

OH! isn't the internet wonderful! In fact, I am going to do a vanity search right now!

Elizabeth:

Found out from Mom on the phone this evening that "Murphy" is her college roommate from Indiana University. Isn't the Internet cool? And she found Mom b/c the Amazon story that I posted on our karlhub came up in the search, and she followed the links to Mom & Dad's blog. It's a nice thought that I played a small part in this.

Elizabeth:

I was on the phone with Mom & Dad when they first caught a glimpse of said bobcat, and they were definitely excited. That's pretty cool to see something like that. Wild turkeys, bald eagles, bobcats . . . you guys have a pretty neat place you live in.

Okay, Mom--who is Murphy?

Cynthia:

I am the Cynthia Sprong Karl that went to I.U. a long time ago (hate to admit how long ago). I e-mailed you - let me know if you didn't receive it.

Murphy:

Are you the Cynthia Sprong Karl that went to I.U. a long time ago? I put your name in as a general search and this web site popped up. Where are you now?
