New Year's

A New Year seems like a good time to initiate a blog. (Also because we just finally are understanding what to do. Our many thanks to Stepan for his remedial help for people he probably thought were computer literate). After a fun-filled week in Austin over Christmas, we are going to have a sub-quiet welcome for the New Year.

On our arrival home from Austin, we found we had no water! Turned out that the people that were fixing a leak while we were gone reconnected to the wrong pipes and the water was diverted to the old limestone house. It got fixed on Monday.

Happy New Year to everyone - we'll imagine our glasses full of Dom Perignon have clinked yours - cheers!!

I don't think I can handle the stress of any more surprise parties, myself. If there are any more mass visits, could we make sure everyone knows about them?

Cynthia:

Still room for the air mattresses! And I have to say the bookcases are really, really nice. Pat still has two pieces of final edging but all the books are in. Now an area rug and a reading chair. I would say it is all a reason for another visit to inspect!

Rita:

I noticed from the history of you house that the future library has been turned into the present library. I bet it looks wonderful. Is there still room in there for the blow up matresses?

Theresa:

Wow...I can't believe it! Another blog to read, and I wouldn't have known it was here if not not for the new Karlhub site. Thanks go to the siblings offspring for its creation. Happy New Year everyone!

Leah:

Just a BTW - one way ticket, based on a round trip purchase, on Southwest between KC and Chicago, is just $34.00! Won't ya'll just come on up?

Cynthia:

That's an offer hard to pass up!! Maybe there can be a "mini" New Year before 2004.

Rita:

I did not raise a glass of Dom, but a glass of White Star...I needed it to wash down the foie gras with truffles. I am so glad you have this site. If you ever visit us on New Years, we will buy enough of the pate for your enjoyment as well.

Jfer:

Congratulations on getting your site up and running. It's always a pleasure to add new blogs to my "to be read" list.

Happy New Year and much love.

Mom:

The Dom Perignon was part of the "imagining"!!!

Elizabeth:

Dom Perignon--obviously I was at the wrong house last night!

Glad your water got fixed. Wouldn't have thought diverting it to the limestone house would have done much good since there are no water pipes going into it.

I'm excited you've got your blog up. This should be a fun year with everyone's blogs to read.
